VERY good food, delicious home-baked bread, lovely atmosphere and super-friendly service! THE place to stop on your way through Robertson.

We stumbled across this place when we'd been on the (hot and dusty) R62, taking the scenic drive from Franschhoek to Swellendam. The café is somewhat hidden by the KFC next door, but look out for signs to the Bon Courage and Le Grand Chasseur wine shops. Grand Café somewhat aptly served the best coffee we had on our holiday. We also ordered their excellent chilli beef pittas for lunch, which come served with a mean curried beetroot pickle. The pickle was so tasty that we bought a jar to take with us on our journey.

A place you must visit. After one visit you will never pass it again without having a breakfast or lunch or just a cup of coffee or cappucino. Thanks Rodney for excellent homemade food and service!!!!!!!!!

Excellent, a great place to stop for superb food, wine and warm hospitality. We were here a week ago today, sadly on our homeward journey to the airport after two fabulous weeks, but it was a good note to end on. Tracy UK

Grand Cafe is the only place for miles with great food,wonderful scones & clotted cream, cheesecake, coffee, fab company and atmosphere. Robertson would be seriously depressing without Grand Cafe!

HEARTIEST Congratulations on being 1 of the Big 5! What a wonderful accolade indeed, you must feel so richly rewarded.

I have been to your website, it’s terrific! AND thank you for including Avanti Coffees there. Let us know what we can do to reciprocate!

Now that I have browsed through your site, drooled over your wonderful menus and enjoyed the accommodation on offer I definitely think a weekend to your Valley is called for!

After asking a local lady where to go for a nice lunch she recommended The Grand Cafe. What a wonderful recommendation it was, I had the delicious Springbok salad and Mark had the chilli beef in pita bread. What amazing fresh delicious ingredients, I just wanted to eat more and more, I would have done if my stomach would have allowed it. Not really particularly liking coffee I decided to try a capacino, boy was I happy that I did it was simply the best coffee that I had ever tasted.

Thank you Rodney and Co, we certainly will be back and we will try and send as many people as we can so that they can enjoy a fabulous lunch too.

Grand Cafe's cappuccinos are the best and their chef's salad with roast veg is excellent! Oh - and the roast veg in phyllo parcels, and the cheesecake, and...

Rodney can cook. Trust me on this one. He taught me a few tricks in my kitchen in France which I've passed on to the French. They approve. So do I. So will you. Ask him about his coconut dessert, or his courgettes a l'Italienne, his cheesecake. Lekker.

Ons was so gelukkig om by hierdie plekkie uit te kom... warm ontvangs by die deur, die reuk van tuisgebakte brood in die lug, kaggel wat brand, goeie diens, huilsame ontbyt - goeie waarde vir geld en ons het nog lekker aan die gesels geraak met Rodney ook! Hoogs aan te bevele...moenie hierdie plek in Robertson verby ry nie!!

In todays' world where food also have to be quick (and unhealty), the only quick thing about Grand Cafe is their good service. The food is hearty and healthy and fresh with an organic feel. The place for lunch if you are in need of wholesome and healthy food.
The best (and most beautiful) heart frothed coffee in Robertson.

See for your self. The tikka curry are divine.
